Services - Rebuild Process

We are capable of complete disassembly and re-assembly of any brand and type of chopper or forage box. This includes all wood and steel sided boxes. Below are pictures of one such box. It is a steel sided Gehl. First lets look at a few pictures of the wrecked box to get an idea of what problems needed attention.

After the wrecked unit has been pulled into our shop, we remove the head from the rest of the unit and pull it aside with pulleys from the ceiling. Then we remove the roof, sides, and back either as a unit or piece by piece.

Now we replace all parts of the floor unit which are broken and it is squared. While this is happening the head is also being fixed. All pieces that were bent are replaced. The box sides, back, and roof are also repaired or replaced at this point.

After everything has been repaired the parts are put back together. First the sides and roof go on. They are squared to make sure that everything has been fixed properly. Then the back and the head go on. Once all this is done the new parts are oiled and the box is run to make sure everything is in working condition. We then call the chopper box / forage box owner to set up a delivery time for the fixed unit.
